Pecas and Paloma’s picture, perfect path past parts of a pretty planet follows a pair of young mourning doves takin off for their winter nesting grounds in the jungles of Central America. From their apartment home on the edge of a great lake to the Gulf of Mexico, they meet many new friends and encounter a vast array of beautiful areas of North America along the way, with a birds-eye view of wonder at the world below.

The mourning dove (Zenaida macroura) is a member of the dove family, Columbidae. The bird is also known as the American mourning dove, the rain dove, and as the turtle dove, the Carolina pigeon and Carolina turtledove. The bird is a strong flier, capable of speeds up to 55 mph and many migrate from the US and Canada as far south as the jungles of central America in the winter.
