Tide pools are found on rocky beaches all over the world, in the strip of land between high and low tide, in what we call the tidal zone. Each pool is a miniature world of discovery, filled with an amazing array of fascinating marine life competing for space and relying on us for protection.

You can help keep tide pools and the oceans clean and safe for the many creatures that call the sea home. Contact your local coastal commission or go online for fun resources and beach clean-up days near you.

If you don’t live near the ocean, you can help by educating yourself about marine life and ocean health and pitch in when you do visit.

Happy Exploration!
